[RECAP WORKSHOP | LUMINA x HUBT] 3D Design in the 4.0 Era – Industry Insights and Career Opportunities

10/04/2026

On April 10th, Hall A204 at HUBT became a vibrant meeting point for Applied Arts students attending the workshop “3D Design in the 4.0 Era: Industry Reality and Career Opportunities,” organized by Lumina Academy.

More than just a theoretical seminar, the workshop introduced students to a practical perspective on the modern 3D industry, where art, technology, and production thinking are closely connected within professional creative environments.

One of the most impactful moments of the event was when many students realized that the knowledge and artistic foundations they are currently studying are deeply connected to the 3D industry. Skills such as composition, form understanding, color theory, and visual storytelling are all highly valuable in fields like Game Art, VFX, and advertising production.

Throughout the workshop, the speakers provided a clear overview of the current 3D industry landscape, including hiring demand, development trends, and the growing role of 3D in entertainment and digital media. Students also gained practical insights from industry perspectives regarding the skills required to enter professional production environments.

The workshop further helped participants better understand career pathways within the 3D industry. From building foundational skills and creating portfolios to joining production teams and expanding personal career opportunities, the development process was presented in a realistic and accessible way.

Another highly discussed topic was the clarification of common misconceptions about the 3D field. Many students initially believed that 3D was extremely difficult to approach or only suitable for technically advanced individuals. However, the workshop emphasized that creative thinking, adaptability, and continuous learning are often far more important than starting with technical expertise.

The most valuable outcome of the workshop was not simply information, but a shift in professional awareness. Many students left the event reflecting on their current position, future growth potential, and whether they were ready to pursue opportunities within the digital creative industry.

As the 4.0 era continues to create expanding opportunities for creative technology fields, understanding the industry early and proactively developing relevant skills can become a major advantage for young creatives pursuing digital arts careers.

Lumina Academy believes that every creative student stands at an important crossroads in their professional journey. Through this workshop, the academy hopes participants gained a clearer vision of their future path, recognized the value of their existing foundation, and felt more prepared to move forward with confidence in the professional 3D industry.
